問題文
The continued rise in the world’s population is the greatest problem faced by humanity at the present time. What are the causes of this continued rise? Do you agree that it is the greatest problem faced by humanity?
世界の人口が増え続けていることは、現代の人類が直面している最大の問題である。この継続的な人口増加の原因は何か。あなたは、これが人類にとって最も大きな問題だと思いますか？
Introduction / 序章
The world’s population is growing faster than ever, and some people say this is the biggest problem humanity is facing today. There are some reasons for this population growth, and while I agree it is an issue, I believe there are other problems that are more serious.
📌ポイント：「人口増加は問題だが、もっと深刻な問題もある」という立場を最初にはっきり示しています。IELTSでは、このように 自分の意見（I agree / I disagree）を明確に書く ことが高得点につながります。
Causes of Population Growth / 人口増加の原因
One main reason for a high population is that people are living longer now because of better healthcare. For example, doctors can treat many diseases that used to kill people, like certain types of infections. This means more people survive and live longer. Additionally, people now have access to better nutrition and clean drinking water, which helps them stay healthy and live longer lives. These improvements in health and nutrition have caused the population to keep growing over time.
📌ポイント：この段落では、人口が増える理由を説明しています。主な原因は「医療と栄養の改善」。IELTSでは、原因＋例（example）＋結果（result）の順で書くと論理的に見えます。
Other More Serious Issues / より深刻な問題
Although having a large number of people can cause problems, such as crowded cities and more pollution, I believe other issues are more serious. For example, global warming is leading to more extreme weather events like floods and droughts, which directly affect many people’s lives. Moreover, we are using up natural resources quickly, like water, oil, and forests, and these resources are not easy to replace. These problems can harm both people and the planet faster than population growth.
📌ポイント：ここでは筆者の意見が明確です。「人口増加よりも、気候変動や資源枯渇の方が深刻」という主張。IELTS Task 2では、対比（Although / However / On the other hand） の使い方が重要です。
Conclusion / 結論
In conclusion, while population growth has several causes, such as better healthcare and living conditions, I think that other problems, such as climate change and resource depletion, are more urgent issues that need to be addressed.
📌ポイント：導入の主張を繰り返して、簡潔にまとめています。IELTSでは結論部分で 意見の一貫性（Consistency of opinion） が重視されます。
