How to Deal with an Adverse Situation: Accept or Improve?

There are two different views about how to deal with an adverse situation, such as shortage of money or a bad job. While some people believe accepting the bad situation is the best strategy, others think trying to improve the situation is better. I feel it is the personal circumstances that determine whether we should accept or improve the situation.
Accepting the Situation
Sometimes acceptance seems to be the most sensible decision. For example, if you have little experience and want to start a new career, you should probably accept having a low income at the beginning and prepare yourself for criticism and feedback from your superiors. This is how many people start and gradually improve their situation. In addition, there are times in life when you are not fully satisfied with how much you earn, but cannot think of a solution. In such cases, non-acceptance only brings negative thoughts, making it less likely to find a solution later. Thus, accepting internally can help avoid negativity and stress.
Improving the Situation
However, there are times when you are able to try and change a bad situation. For instance, when you have gained enough experience and knowledge to land a better job, it seems absurd to remain in an unsatisfactory workplace. Or, if you know how to earn money but laziness prevents action, it is advisable to start improving your life situation, even with small first steps. Therefore, accepting is not always the optimal decision.
Conclusion / Personal Opinion
In my opinion, there is no absolute rule regarding accepting or improving adverse circumstances. Individuals must decide for themselves which approach works best for their specific situation.
